Why Mental Self-Care is Critical During this Transformative Time
The Retreat WV is hosting a mental self-care seminar on Friday August 21, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
The Corona virus of 2020 is stressful for people. Not only is there fear and anxiety about a new disease but the anxiety of uncertainties, protocol, social gatherings, caring for children, eating out etc. can be exhausting mentally and emotionally. We miss our friends. Many of us are letting our self-care go. Some are drinking more. Many of us are not eating well, sleeping soundly, or exercising regularly. Public health actions, such as social distancing, and wearing masks can make people feel agitated, lonely, and confused.
Our presenters, Tricia Kingery, Founder & President Kingery & Company and Jim Strawn, President of Jim Strawn & Company, will discuss the importance of strong mental health in the workplace and life, the roadblocks that stand in the way of a mentally healthy environment, and strategies to help improve mental health care for you and your family.
With a M.B.A. from WVU, Master’s in Counseling and Rehabilitation and Bachelor’s in Psychology from Marshall, Tricia’s education is at the heart of everything she does.
Jim will discuss 12 Attitudinal Muscles of Your Heart & Soul. Why it is important to exercise these muscles and how it affects your overall physical health.
