Kanawha-Charleston Health Department & UC School of Pharmacy, to Host Harm Reduction Workshop

The University Of Charleston School Of Pharmacy and the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department will host Susan Sherman, Ph. D., and Sean Allen, DrPH., from Johns Hopkins University,  and Daniel Raymond from the Manhattan-based National Harm Reduction Coalition,  for a harm reduction workshop.
The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, from 12:30 – 4 p.m. at the Erma Byrd Gallery at the University of Charleston, the workshop will feature several interactive discussions on harm reduction topics.
Dr. Michael Brumage, executive director and health officer of the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department and the Putnam County Health Department, and Dean Michelle Easton of the University Of Charleston School Of Pharmacy, will also speak.
 KCHD conducts a weekly harm reduction clinic on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. UC students, as well as other members of the community, support the harm reduction program by volunteering at the clinic.
