Highlights is a 30 minute weekly TV show featuring organizations, events, grass-roots efforts and people who move our state and community forward in a positive way.
The show is a collaboration with Kanawha County Schools, Optimum Communications and Jim Strawn & Company.
The show airs daily at 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Optimum’s channel 17.
The show airing June 19, 2023 – July 3, 2023, features the Moses Auto Group Live on the Levee
We interviewed Miranda Dillon, Logistics Specialist Community Services for the City of Charleston along with Jennifer Fleshman, Program Director of the YWCA Sojourner’s Shelter.
Miranda talked about the band selection process, the food and drink vendors, the collaboration and everything that goes into the concert series.
As the show was taped, we have had 4 Friday evening concerts. They have been well-recieved.
Jennifer discussed their role in Live on the Levee.
Since its inception, LOTL has had the tag line of ‘Great Fun for Great Cause’!
We help 5 inner-city charlities every Friday evening. The YWCA Sojourner’s Shelter is one of the charities.
We also help, Covenant House, RCCR, Manna Meal and KVC. All organizations help citizens who are hungry or homeless.
We also talked with Ashley Wright, with Dem 2 Brothers & A Grille and Butch Hill, with Just Drinks.
They are both vendors at LOTL. They love being a part of the the community and the positive vibe coming from Haddad Riverfront Park every Friday in Charleston, WV.
