The show airing October 31, 2022 – November 14, 2022 highlights the:
53rd Capital City Art & Craft Show
We interviewed John Robertson, Show Chair and exhibitors, Brittany Smith & Frank Gourley.
John talked about the history and importance of the show being back.
One of the region’s largest Art and Craft Shows will celebrate its return at the Charleston Convention Center on November 18-20, 2022. The sponsoring Kanawha City Lions Club has hosted this regional event for 52 consecutive years until COVID interrupted the schedule in 2020 and 2021. Each year the Convention Center is filled to the brim with high quality original items at affordable prices.
See a true cornucopia of creativity at the 53rd Capital City Art and Craft Show. Nearly 160 booths featuring the creative talents of artisans will be on display featuring traditional to contemporary treasures including jewelry, pottery, woodwork, holiday decorations, fine art, photography, metal sculpture, quilting, textiles and more.
Brittany Smith, with Charlie West Creations, is an earring jeweler. This will be her first time exhibiting at the Capital City Art & Craft Show.
While it is not a juried show, John did explain their criteria and selection process.
We also spoke with Frank Gourley, woodworker and first-time exhibitor as well. Frank is a retired educator who has worked with wood his whole life and is a member of the Piedmont Craftsmen.
The Show will feature artisans from six states. A Country Kitchen will be offering delicious fall favorites and vendors will be sampling West Virginia produced food products like dips, salsas, baked goods, honey, jellies, sauces fudges.
