Story Walk

The StoryWalk® Project is a cooperative program between the Friends of Alban Arts & Conference Center, Inc. the St. Albans Parks and Recreation Department, and the St. Albans Branch of the Kanawha County Public Libraries. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. The StoryWalk® is a nationwide/worldwide project that is provided by libraries in all 50 states as well as 14 other countries.

This project provides the necessary outlet for the StoryWalk® to be presented to the St. Albans community year-round by installing 18 permanent display stations along the .80-mile Nature Trail located in the St. Albans City Park, St. Albans West Virginia.

Call if interested in sponsoring this project. 304-722-4625.

Sponsorship for Story Walk

Each display station costs $450.00 to make, ship, and install. This is a one-time cost. The name of each sponsor will be displayed on the station(s) in a permanent fashion to ensure that recognition is provided to the donor/sponsor. If more than one station is sponsored by a donor, their name/business/school will be placed on each station they sponsor. Donations for sponsorship of the StoryWalk® Project can be made by check, cash, credit card, or electronic draft to the Friends of Alban Arts & Conference Center, Inc.

Scott discussed the importance of offering residents of our community ‘quality of life’ programs for the whole family to engage in. He discussed some of the many events coming up throughout the rest of 2024.
