Highlights is a 30 minute weekly TV show featuring organizations, events, grass-roots efforts and people who move our state and community forward in a positive way.
The show is a collaboration with Kanawha County Schools, Suddenlink Communications, and Jim Strawn & Company.
The show airs daily at 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Suddenlink’s channel 17.
The show airing December 27, 2021 – January 17, 2022 features the annual ‘New Year New You’ segment.
We interviewed Dr. Jamie Jeffrey, Dr. Bill Mullett and Autumn Williamson, MSW.
Dr. Jeffrey, Director of Keys 4 HealthyKids, discussed the KEYS Program for children.
KEYS 4 HealthyKids (KEYS) is a partnership of community stakeholders whose goals is to implement healthy eating and active living policy and environmental change initiatives that can support healthier communities for children and families across the West Virginia. KEYS places special emphasis on reaching children who are at highest risk for obesity on the basis of race/ethnicity, income and/or geographic location.
She also went into detail the aspects of the 5210 formula.
Dr. Mullet and Autumn, both therapists at Mosaic Wellness, discussed ways to develop a plan for a stronger mental and emotional approach to living a healthy life.
