We interviewed Bruce Hinckson, co-owner of Orangetheory Fitness and Jess Hunter, Supervised Psychologist at MU.
Bruce talked about the concept behind Orangetheory. It is a science-backed, technology-tracked, coach-inspired group workout designed to produce results from the inside out. The hardest part of their workouts is showing up – they make it simple for you to push yourself, be your personal best and give you more. MORE results. MORE confidence. MORE Life. More than a gym. Because you shouldn’t live to exercise. You should exercise to live.
They operate 2 Orangetheory gyms in the Charleston-Huntington market. One is Southridge and one in Barboursville.
He says, start slow. Do you own pace. Work your way up.
He also mentioned there is a lot of peer-support with their program.
Jess discussed habits and how to stop the bad ones and start the good ones. Baby steps.
Between the 2 of them, a wonderful conversation on emotional, mental, nutritional, physical and attitudinal approach to 2020.
