Highlights is a 30 minute weekly TV show featuring organizations, events, grass-roots efforts and people who move our state and community forward in a positive way.
The show is a collaboration with Kanawha County Schools, Optimum Communications and Jim Strawn & Company.
The show airs daily at 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Optimum’s channel 17.
Mountaineer Athletic Club Charleston Scholarship Dinner
The show airing April 15, 2024 through April 22, 2024 features the Mountaineer Athletic Club and their upcoming Charleston Scholarship Dinner set for April 22nd beginning at 5:30 at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center.
We talked with Matt Kelly, committee member with the dinner.
He discussed the importance of the fundraising dinner.
About MAC
The Mountaineer Athletic Club is the professional fundraising arm for the WVU Athletic Department. They are tasked with the primary objective of providing the resources necessary to enrich the lives of our student-athletes as they strive to reach their full academic and athletic potential.
Through the unrestricted financial support and commitment by the members, they aim to continue and provide the flexibility to make strategic investments, such as scholarship endowment support, facility enhancements, and enhancing travel and recruiting budgets, in all WVU’s 18 sports programs.
This dinner is one of their largest.
