We interviewed Ali Crawford, representative of Mister Bee Potato Chips, regarding the Fed Ex Grant Competition.
They have entered this competition is hopes of streamlining the shipping & handling process.
As West Virginia’s only manufacturing plant of potato chips, Mister Bee’s ship to its products to all states in the continental United States.
Ali explained why this is such an important competition for them.
COVID-19 led to a substantial increase in online sales, which taxed the existing system. Shipping costs, prior to and during the pandemic, have also deterred the completion of online sales. The Fed Ex grant would allow Mister Bee to significantly improve its website and online ordering capability and offer shipping options more favorable to the consumer. Resolving these issues would ensure the continued sustainability of this reborn small business.
The competition is vote-based. You can vote every 24 hours.
