Highlights is a 30 minute weekly TV show featuring organizations, events, grass-roots efforts and people who move our state and community forward in a positive way.

The show is a collaboration with Kanawha County Schools, Suddenlink Communications and Jim Strawn & Company.

The show airs daily at 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Suddenlink’s channel 17.

The show airing November 25, 2019 – December 9, 2019 highlights the Light up the Levee event & ACC’s Holiday Concert.

We interviewed Andy Cepperly and Sandy Campbell of the First Presby Church on Leon Sullivan Way in Charleston, WV.

They discussed the upcoming 6th Annual Light up the Levee set for Thursday, December 12, 2019 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston.

There is plenty of caroling, hot chocolate, fellowship and of course Santa Claus.

THE EVENT IS FREE!

You are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the Covenant House Food Pantry.

We also interviewed Selina Midkiff, Founding Director of Appalachian Children’s Chorus.

ACC has been around for 28 years. Selina talked about what ACC is all about.

They provide artistic excellence, a quality music education, and extraordinary opportunities while creating a positive effect on the lives of West Virginia’s youth.

Their upcoming Holiday Concert is set for December 8, 2019 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Baptist Temple Church in Charleston.

It is titled, Peace Joy & Harmony Christmas concert, presented by Stonerise Healthcare.
