Enlight1541 768x634This is the 24th year of Goodnight and FestivALL’s 4th year to host Charleston’s favorite family-friendly and free New Year’s Eve celebration.

Craig Hinchman, long-time performer at GoodNight, has been the organizer of the event for the past few years, with the help of his wife Amanda Hinchman. When the event organizer retired, they stepped up to start organizing this annual event making sure it remained the center of Charleston’s New Year’s Eve tradition.

GoodNight was originally created by the Community Music Association as a free, family-friendly, alcohol-free series of 45-minute concerts at venues around Charleston between 6 and 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and has kept the same format for 24 years.  Since the CMA closed, FestivALL Charleston has included the event under its umbrella of annual events promoting arts and culture in West Virginia’s capital city.

Goodnite 18 768x430This year dozens of musicians, dancers, and ensembles will perform in 10 locations around Charleston. In addition to the free performances, the KRT will run on a loop between venues and the city parking garage on the corner of Virginia and Laidley St. (Free). Full schedule and details at festivallcharleston.com/events
