Highlights is a 30 minute weekly TV show featuring organizations, events, grass-roots efforts and people who move our state and community forward in a positive way.
The show is a collaboration with Kanawha County Schools, Suddenlink Communications and Jim Strawn & Company.
The show airs daily at 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Suddenlink’s channel 17.
The show airing March 9, 2020 – March 16, 2020 highlights the 8th Annual Fox Trot and the 14th Annual Tisket A Tasket A Literary Basket.
We interviewed George Manahan and Connie Jones co-chairs of the 8th Annual Fox Trot to benefit Parkinson’s Research. The event is organized by the Charleston Area Parkinson’s Support Group which has about 150 members.
We discussed the progress shown in Parkinson research since they were both diagnosed about 10 years ago.
The monies raised goes to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, a leader in the fight against Parkinson’s and in finding a cure.
The event is set for March 21, 2020 at the Capitol Market with registration beginning at 8:00 and the race / walk beginning at 9:00 a.m. By joining us at the Fox Trot for Parkinson’s Research, you’re helping to close the gap on a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Runners and walkers of any experience level or speed are all welcome!
Then stick around for the Green Chile Shootout begining at Noon.
