The Alzheimer’s Association is organizing a Fun Bike Ride to raise awareness and necessary funds.

The Alzheimer’s Association of WV is coming off the heels of a successful ‘The Longest Day’ campaign on June 21, 2019.

The money raised with this event will go towards their Longest Day campaign.

The Bike Ride is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2019 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the University of Charleston Pharmacy Building. The ride will take place on the Kanawha City Bike Route. All levels are welcome. It is not a race. Registration is 7:45 a.m.

Donations will be accepted. Any level that fits your budget is welcome.

Currently, more than 37,000 West Virginians are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and over 107,000 family and friends are providing care.

Headquartered in Charleston, with regional offices located in Parkersburg and Morgantown, the West Virginia Chapter of Alzheimer’s  serves all fifty-five counties in West Virginia.

They provide education and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias throughout our community, including those living with the disease, caregivers, health care professionals and families. They are also committed to advocating for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s disease and advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.

Call Jim at 304-541-4756 with any questions about the ride.
