Charleston, WV…The Buckskin Council, Boy Scouts of America is excited to invite the entire community to an exciting event that offera unique opportunity for all participants. On July 31, 2019 to August 2, 2019 ,all local boys and girls going into Kindergarten through 5th grade, are invited to participate in three evenings of fun and excitement at the H. Bernard Wehrle Sr. Scout Leadership Service Center. The new facility is located at 2829 Kanawha Boulevard East, Charleston, WV 25311 beside Daniel Boone Park.
The Buckskin Council, Boy Scouts of America is working with local donors host a free program for local boys and girls age six to eleven. Activities at this camp will include traditional Scouting favorites such as fire building, archery, and a bb shooting range. The theme for this exciting event is “Happy 100th Birthday, Buckskin Council” and activities will also include, games, inflatables, crafts, shooting sports and plenty of fresh popcorn! You do not need to be a Cub Scout to participate. Come and experience the fun and excitement of Scouting. Youth must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is completely free of charge and local churches, community centers, and child care facilities are encouraged to promote this activity to all their contacts.
This activity is absolutely free and all that is required for a child to participate is for the parent or guardian to register him or her online at WWW.BUCKSKIN.ORG. Families are encouraged to attend with their child. All participants will receive a free t-shirt and program materials. There will be a traditional campfire program with dinner provided on Friday, August 2nd .
The program runs every evening from 5:30 PM- 8:00 PM on July 31st to August 2nd.
