Charleston, WV, November 12, 2021—The Underprivileged Children Foundation, Inc., is pleased and proud to announce a charitable contribution by Arsenal Resources LLC (“Arsenal”) of $55,000.00 to support its annual holiday drive, providing meals and gifts to West Virginia children & families in need. Arsenal, a natural gas operator headquartered in Wexford, PA, led an effort to raise the charitable funds through hosting a golf tournament in early September 2021 at the Pete Dye Golf Course in Clarksburg, WV.
The charitable funds generated by Arsenal will provide nutritious meals and holiday gifts throughout the region, helping thousands in need. The Underprivileged Children Foundation’s food mission, the “Food S.H.A.C.K” (Stop. Hunger. Among. Community. Kids.), provides no-cost meals to children and families struggling to provide for basic needs. The Food SHACK has provided more than 50,000 meals since launching in June 2020. The Organization also conducts an annual holiday drive, and this funding will allow the organization to substantially increase its impact.
Mr. Tommy Vance, President of the Underprivileged Children Foundation, commented “companies like Arsenal Resources provide life-saving resources to serve those in the community who are desperately in need. Arsenal Resources demonstrates its on-going commitment to our community and State through planning and organizing such a successful event. They are truly heroes for so many West Virginia children.”
Arsenal’s President & CEO, Jon Farmer, said “Arsenal is proud to raise funds for the community in which we work. We are honored to partner up with The Underprivileged Children Foundation. It’s a great organization making a positive difference in the lives of WV children and families in need. Thank you to our sponsors whose generous contributions made this event possible.”
