Let’s Get Ready to Contemplate!

EnAct Community Action will be holding its Second Annual BRAIN BOWL Funraiser on Thursday, October, 5, 2017.
EnAct Community Action is a Governor’s designated West Virginia Community Action Agency that provides social services to low-income individuals and families in Clay, Boone, Fayette, Kanawha and Putnam Counties. Their mission is to “focus on the unique social planning responsibility of community action agencies by identifying the causes of poverty in the communities we serve, developing solutions, building active partnerships, and lifting low-income individuals and families to their fullest potential.”
The BRAIN BOWL is a fun-filled, fast paced Jeopardy style competition testing your trivia and general knowledge skills.  And when you get a “Jeopardy” or “Double Jeopardy” answer, you don’t provide the question – you have to successfully complete a “Minute-To-Win-It” challenge to earn your points!
What’s in it for you?  Bragging rights that you have the brightest team in the Kanawha Valley, and of course a trophy!  What’s in it for EnAct? Much needed funding that helps them continue their mission of serving the low-income individuals and families in a five county area.
Each team will consist of 4 to 5 members and will compete throughout the evening until one team is crowned the BRAINIAC’S of the BRAIN BOWL.  Social hour and registration starts at 5:30 pm and the competition begins at 6:30 pm. Entertainment will be provided during the social hour as well as a cash bar to help you loosen up for the competition. Along with the cash bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres will be available throughout the evening.
Don’t forget to invite for friends, family, and co-workers to come watch the competition and cheer your team along. If they aren’t competing in the BRAIN BOWL, they can compete at the Silent Auction!
Team entry cost: $500 (whether it is a 4 or 5 person team).
Each team member: gets 2 drink tickets.
Each team member: gets a commemorative gift.
FREE general admission: no cost for friends, family, and co-workers to root your team on.
